Fearless Friday: After the Spark Fades
What do you do when the hype wears off, but the calling still stands?
Hey friend,
You know that “high” you feel when you start something new?
The fire.
The focus.
The late-night brainstorming sessions that somehow feel energizing instead of exhausting.
That’s what it felt like when I launched the Fearless Forward podcast just a little over two weeks ago. I was pumped. I had the lineup. I had the mics. I had the clarity that this is what I was meant to be doing.
But now, it’s April 18. And the truth? This week has felt heavier.
Not because I’m questioning the vision - far from it.
But, because I’m in it.
Deep in the part where the excitement gives way to execution. And the to-do list feels longer than the momentum.
Editing, scheduling, managing, all while showing up fully for my family, my business, and my calling. It’s a lot.
But even in the weariness, I’m reminded:
We hit record.
We’ve welcomed four powerful guests.
People are listening and they’re being moved.
Lives are being changed because of one yes.
That’s not a small thing. That’s everything!
So, if you’re in that in-between space, past the launch high but still far from the finish line, can I speak this over you?
Keep going.
This is where most people quit, but you? You’re not most people.
You were built for the middle. Anointed for the hard.
And chosen not just to start something, but to carry it.
The honeymoon may be over.
But the mission is still holy.
Don’t confuse the resistance with a red light.
Sometimes the pressure is just proof that what you’re building is worth it.
What I’m Loving This Week:
Reading: Trust: Knowing When to Give It, When to Withhold It, How to Earn It, and How to Fix It When It Gets Broken by Dr. Henry Cloud
Listening to: Worship Is My Weapon with Rita Springer
Watching: Once Upon a Time - It’s mine and my 25 year old daughter’s time together and I’m here for it!
Your Turn
I'd love to hear from you:
What project are you currently in the "middle phase" with?
What small wins can you celebrate right now?
Remember, the most impactful work often happens not in the exciting beginning or the trophy ending, but in those quiet middle moments when you choose to continue despite the challenge.
Still moving forward,
Michelle
P.S. If you've been enjoying the podcast, sharing it with just one person who might benefit would mean the world to me. Sometimes the simplest acts create the biggest ripples.
